Taste of Brews brings Oktoberfest to Dana Point
City’s first craft beer festival will be Saturday at Lantern Bay Park, including food and oompah music.

Taste of Brews, Dana Point's first craft beer festival, is coming to Lantern Bay Park on Saturday for an Oktoberfest-themed festival featuring dozens of seasonal, craft and microbrew beers paired with food from area restaurants and music from an oompah band.
General-admission sampling will be from 1 to 4 p.m., with VIP sampling beginning an hour earlier.

Craft beers will include Stone, Shock Top, Blue Moon, Newcastle, Karl Strauss, Samuel Adams, Pyramid, Honey Brown, Packinghouse, Sudwerk and Chai Cream Ale, with Stella Artois in the VIP lounge.
Orange County will be represented by Left Coast (San Clemente), Noble Ale Works (Anaheim), Cismontane (Rancho Santa Margarita), Bayhawk Ales (Irvine) and Great Head (Laguna Niguel).
If you prefer German beer for Oktoberfest, there are Becks, Leavenworth Biers and Lammsbrau.
Food samples will come from House of Big Fish (Laguna Beach), Luxe (Dana Point), Inka Mama's (San Clemente), Sunsets (Capistrano Beach) and Swensen's Ice Cream (Mission Viejo). Complete meals will be available for an additional fee.
Taste of Brews tickets are $45 to $70 and are available online here. Proceeds will benefit the Ocean Institute at Dana Point Harbor.
